What is a Pier?

A-1's patent-pending Piering System provides four times the surface area at the base of each pier, producing a load bearing capacity that is superior to competitive methods. Our system has been engineered and tested to provide a cost effective and permanent solution in more varied soils and more challenging conditions than any competitive system.

The foundation is excavated, and mechanical lifting brackets are permanently installed onto the foundation. Our component parts are manufactured using heavy guage structural steel and must meet A-1's exacting standards. piers are driven below the unstable soil into stable strata. The lead section of each pier detects the resistive force of the stable soil and, at a secure depth, automatically flairs the base of each pier, quadrupling its surface area. The structure is then hydraulically lifted to a point of optimal practical recovery, and the piers are permanently locked in at the restored position. The shaft of the pier is filled with hydraulic cement, and concrete grout is injected into the void created beneath the foundation to evenly distribute load and provide additional strength.

If you are looking for a cost effective solution to your most challenging piering and foundation stabilization projects, A-1 Concrete Leveling's Piering System offers you the most powerful piling piering system on the market.
